At the ForeverLexi Foundation, we believe remembrance is more than reflection—it’s movement, purpose, and change. Through heartfelt programs like our Annual Butterfly Release, we keep Alexis’s spirit alive while honoring others lost to senseless violence. Our scholarships open doors for young people, giving them a future Alexis was denied. And with grief support resources, we offer comfort to families walking through the same heartbreak we know too well.
Every initiative we build is a step toward healing, justice, and connection. These programs are not just projects—they’re promises.
Programs / Initiatives Draft
1. ForeverLexi Healing Gift Boxes
Each holiday season, we send beautifully curated self-care boxes to mothers and families who have lost loved ones to police violence. These gift boxes remind recipients that they are not alone, offering comfort and moments of peace during a time of year that can feel especially heavy.
- Year 1: 10 families served
- Year 2: 15 families served
- Year 3 (Goal): 25 families served
Every box includes customized items such as journals, candles, bath products, and tokens honoring the memory of their lost loved one.
2. Forever Lexi Memorial Scholarship
In honor of Alexis Wilson’s passion for beauty, creativity, and self-expression, the ForeverLexi Foundation proudly offers the Forever Lexi Memorial Scholarship—an initiative deeply rooted in family and legacy.
We are thrilled to announce our official partnership with the John Amico School of Hair Design , the very place where Alexis dreamed of launching her career. This connection is especially meaningful because Alexis’s aunt, Ca’Shawn, is a graduate of John Amico and knows firsthand how he empowers his students to transform their talent into thriving careers.
Scholarship Details:
- Covers tuition or related educational expenses
- Open to aspiring cosmetologists, estheticians, and beauty professionals
- Awarded annually in memory of Alexis Wilson
Through the Forever Lexi Memorial Scholarship, Alexis’s light continues to shine in the artistry, ambition, and success of future beauty industry leaders.
3. Butterfly Release Fundraiser
Each year, on July 27th—the day Alexis gained her wings—we host a butterfly release fundraiser. Families gather to honor Alexis and other lives lost to police violence, releasing butterflies as a symbol of hope, transformation, and remembrance.
The event raises funds for our ongoing programs and provides a safe, supportive space for collective healing.
4. ForeverLexi Mother’s Day Journals
Mother’s Day can be particularly painful for mothers who’ve lost children. Each May, the ForeverLexi Foundation distributes specially designed Forever Lexi Healing and Grief Journals to impacted mothers, offering a place for reflection, release, and self-care.

5. Alexis’s Birthday Celebration
Every October, we celebrate Alexis’s birthday with community events filled with joy, creativity, and connection. It’s a time for honoring her vibrant spirit and gathering in solidarity with other families navigating grief.
6. Grief & Healing Retreat (In Development)
Launching soon, the ForeverLexi Foundation is planning an annual 3-day healing retreat for mothers who have lost children to police violence. Hosted in a serene spiritual retreat setting, this event will include:
- Group and individual counseling
- Guided relaxation and self-care activities
- Spiritual connection opportunities, including sessions with a medium
- A candle-lighting ceremony to honor each lost child
Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where mothers can begin or continue their healing journey together.
